The BEST Stories Ever..

The kids wrote stories. The BEST stories EVER I must say. Abby wrote hers out by herself. Created it, wrote it, edited it all by herself. Matthew told me his and I wrote it down verbatim. Aside from a few minor spelling corrections, neither had help from me at all!

I realize you can't READ it well from there so I shall now print out what it says: "Hi I am Matilda. I am a princess. I'm a penguin. I have a big puffy dress and a tiara. I can't catch a fish with my dress."



Yes, that's right. Matilda cannot catch a fish with her dress. I THINK she had intended to say "with my dress ON." but.. you know this is a heck of a lot more funny.

NOW on to Matthew's..

Once again, I DO realize you can't read it from there so I shall put, verbatim, his story: "Once upon a time, there was a little penguin that was actually a dragon. Then the penguin started to cry. The penguin was very lonely in the jungle. One day a bat came to drink the penguin's blood. The the bat started to drink then penguin's blood. Then the bat heard a volcano. The bat  flew away. The volcano reached the penguin. Penguin said "EEEEKKKKK!!!" When the lava reached the penguin's belly, he went swimming in the lava. The penguin heard the bat coming back. Next, the penguin said "EEEEEKKKKK!!!' The penguin scurried away."



Why the penguin was a dragon, I have NO idea. HOW it survived swimming in lava, a blood sucking bat and being a dragon in the jungle only to be depressed and lonely..? Once again NO idea.. BUT.. BEST penguin story by a 4 year old EVER!

Christmas 2010!

What a lovely Christmas Day we've had. A brief over few while the chicken is cooking:

Teeth Be Gone

Abby being proud of the 1st cucumber from the garden. Well, she really IS proud, trust me.

Vacation Part... 1!

This year, we decided to do a small, close to home vacation and went to OKC to several places. This particular one would be the Science Museum of Oklahoma - or... To everyone else... The Omniplex.. Abby, oddly enough.. Loved it.. Mattie... Well... Less than pleased after a short while..

Matthew would be trying to explain... In technical terms of course... the way a ball rolls UP then down... then Up...

It took about 4 tries of them popping in.. and out.. and in... and out.. But they finally hit the opening AT the same time.. Oh .. SO briefly.. :) BAWHAHAHHAHA..

Abby really liked to climb in, on, over, push, twirl and attack pretty much anything they would let her. Here she's in some... jet/rocket thing.. I believe she is pushing the firing button to kill stuff.. Awww isn't that sweet?

AND the only thing Mattie liked? Yeah.. the underwater torpedo.. That was it...

Butterfly Release

This year we decided to try something new. Butterflies. WHY? You ask. Because I am Stupid. That's why. Thankfully... The caterpillars turned into nice, fat thinggys and then into butterflies. And then.. We got to get rid on the stinkin' things. I mean.. Got to rejoice in the miracle of changing life.
