School Pictures!

Since we homeschool, the only real thing *I* actually miss is school pictures. So we made up our own this year. I stapled up a plain, solid colored background, got the 2 all dressed up in their nicer clothes (well, clean at least) and we just went to town taking pictures together!

This is what we ended up with!

And this one just HAD to be taken of a kitty cuddle!

The kids have grand plans about some other outfits and a park where we should take some more pictures, so hopefully we'll be able to get that done pretty soon. Overall I'm really pretty pleased with how these came out! It worked out better than I thought it might have. Certainly not any worse than the 1 shot at real school photos!

More Fun Week!

Turns out Fun Week turned into 2 Weeks of Fun. My sister (J) and her significant other (G) came into town for several days on this last Saturday and stayed until Wednesday. Then we had 4th of July fun and I figured since there was only 2 days left after that, what the hay - let's just go wild.

While J and G was here, we took one day and went to Stillwater and had lunch at Eskimo Joes.It is supposed to be great food. Unfortunately, our experience left a little to be desired. Anyhow, we then when to a children's museum called Wondertorium. The kids really liked it. It was super cute, clean, well laid out.  A little bit of a far drive for JUST that, but we hadn't gone for *just* that so it worked out.

One of The Boy's favorite items - a blower attached to tubes and you put puff balls and hankeys into the tubes and they come flying out. He LOVED it.

The Girl was enamored with the doctor's area. Here she is displaying the wheelchair.

A dissection dummy. Because EVERYONE needs one.

Group shot funny face!

An old phone - but really the Girl wanted me to take a picture of the lady through the window and she was giddy that I did it.

We also did a TON of other activities. Bowling, movies, we had our traditional Saturday Night Movie Night. We had sushi lunch, went to Gilcrease Museum, played in the hose. We did a lot of great fun things and totally worth just blowing school off for the week! The kids ADORE their Aunt and can't wait to see her again!
